Let me Introduce Myself – The Motivated Momma

First off, let’s get the basics out of the way. My name is Carin, I’m a 28 year old married woman. I’m a mother of three amazing children – two girls and one boy. My oldest daughter will be 11 in November, her name is Lahni. I also have a daughter Lahna who is quickly approaching 8 years old in August. Time really does fly. Lastly, my youngest child. Finally my boy I always wanted my almost 4 year old son EJ.

I’ve been married for 7 years to my high-school sweat heart Eddy. We have been together for a total of 13 years. I know, I know it sounds like a fairy tale straight out of a book, but it’s my reality & you’ll quickly find out I’m so proud and grateful of the family we have created regardless of the struggles we have faced. So that’s the Maldonado Clan… Me, my amazing husband, and our three children.

As you follow this blog you’ll learn so much about my family and my daily life, some things being quite personal. This blog is going to cover so many topics regarding marriage, motherhood, employment, furthering your education and the struggle of doing it all simultaneously. Did I forget to mention aside of being a wife and mother I am also a full time employee and student? I know it sounds like a lot, and I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t.

But that’s a topic for another post. We’re here to break the ice and give you a little background and information about me and what you can expect from this blog, so let’s get into it.

I mentioned earlier that me and my husband have been together for a total of 13 years and married for 7 of those years. While our relationship is now everything I’ve ever hoped for we had to work hard – and I mean really hard to get here. Over the years we have gone through everything imaginable able & the fact that we are where we are now is a testimony as to how real love perseveres and can really overcome anything with effort and communication. I’m telling you all of this because this is going to be a personal blog at times as mentioned. I plan to touch on topics including struggles we have experienced in our marriage & how we overcame it, how to keep your marriage alive and how to overcome struggles that come with long term relationships, because let’s be real.. long lasting relationships require alot of communication, forgiveness, self evaluation and respect.

I also plan to touch on motherhood and how I approach it. Being responsible for little human can be challenging – not to mention dealing with curveballs life throws you.

Aside from being a mother and wife, I work from home full time for a large medical Marijuana doctors office. I have worked for this company for 4 years and truly have found a job I am passionate about. Before landing this job which truthfully when I applied did not think I would get – for the simple fact I wanted it so bad I never worked somewhere longer than a year. I just never got the sense of purpose I have from my current job at any other place and always wanted better for my family.

I think I should mention here I am impulsive yet calculated if that makes sense… I mention this because as you get to know me you’ll realize I’ve been a motivated individual since I was like 13 years old and that only increased when I had children .. even being 17 years old when I had my first child. I knew I wanted to give my children more than I ever had. So aside from changing job after job looking for something I really enjoyed I’ve thought about and tried to further my education multiple times in an effort to enhance our lives. 3 years ago after randomly deciding to go back to college I enrolled in Southern New Hampshire Universty to pursue my associates in business administration. I graduated with high honors in 2020 and reenrolled to get my bachelors in entrepreneurship. My goal is to open my own herbal medicine business.

So now that you know the most important things about me and my family – I’d like to explain why I chose to start a blog.

My social media marketing class requires we create blog posts regarding course material… the more I learned about blogs the more my mind began to wonder. I’ve always loved to read and write and figured this was a good outlet to just talk about life, learn new things, and possibly inspire mommas who may be struggling with the demands of motherhood, and life.

I want my blogs to encourage engagement. Comment – repost – share your opinions with me. I really do want to hear them. Over the years I’ve learned that you can learn more from other people and experiences more than you can from any classroom or school book!

That being said – thank you for reading & I look forward to diving right into some interesting and motivating discussions with you all!

Until next time mommas!

Read this and seeing how much you have grown and how you stick 26th or from your husband to all the goals you set for yourself and your family makes me the proudest momma in the world. Even though I’m not the only one who took part in raising you, I wouldn’t change it for the world because that would change who you turned into and to who you are still becoming.

Your are a daughter, a sister, a wife and a mother and also a best friend and a cousin. Like you also said an employee and a student and you will be a business owner.

Not only are you learning to better your family your are a teacher as you are going to be teaching others about relationships and motherhood through your own experiences and I’m honestly and seriously proud of you beyond words..
